Cubase and Dorico dosen't detect KORG Kross 2 synt

Go to C:/Program files (x86)/KORG/KORG USB-MIDI Driver. Click on UnInstDrv/OK/Next. The window you see is KORG MIDI Driver Uninstall Utility. If it contains two pages with more than 9 MIDI drivers, will the others appear on page two. NB!!! The DAWs does not detect drivers on page two. If the KORG driver is on page two, Unconnect KORG USB. Select Option, and uncheck + OK and delete the drivers that are highlighted in black. Only those that are not currently connected can be deleted. This is not a problem because they reconnect by themselves when they need to.

Then connect the KORG USB, wait a moment, and the driver will load into one of the available slots on page one.

Then you will find the KORG MIDI in in both Cubase and Dorico.

Hi,

I’m facing the very same issue.

I have to say, this is a KORG issue. Cubase recognises the other MIDI Devices on Page two (for example, Yamaha Motif in my case).

By any chance, do you know how to avoid the empty midi slots? I had to uninstall some other MIDI drivers from my computer. I was hoping my KORG device would move up to page 1. It moved up, but not to page 1. On /age 1, there are some empty slots (the same as you have midi0: ). So my question is, how can I avoid the empty slots?

Thank you!

Agree. Defenitly a KORG issue. Hmm.. that didn’t happend in my experience. But you have to unconnect the KORG usb befor the action. Then after reconnecting the drivers moved up to opend slots. For me it seems that it is only KORG drivers wich have to be on side one.
