Cubase and Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5

Hi,

I have a Mac running OS X 10.7.5. Problem is I can’t upgrade the OS because I’d have to upgrade quite a bit of legacy software with it. Too much money.

My internet research brings up that Cubase 7 was the last version that supported Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. Cubase 7.5 and Cubase 8 look like they don’t support Lion. I think this info is correct?

I can’t find a copy of Cubase 7 from a reliable source for a good price. If I buy Cubase Pro 8, will I be able to download a Cubase 7 Mac installer from here, and be able to install and run it on my Mac with Lion? Even though I don’t have a Cubase 7 license per se?

if you buy Cubase Pro 8 you will be able to run previous versions, yes.

Although Cubase 7.5 is not supported on Lion, it will install and should run fine. Cubase Pro 8 won’t.
