Cubase and Taho 26

Cubase and Mac Taho 26 . Will there be a fix for Cubase 14

And what do we need a fix for specifically?? I just spent all weekend, yet again, playing with Cubase 14 on MacOS 26 (and have been since the week before the public release) and had nothing but a blast. Tahoe’s been fine here since day 1.

My experience as well. Cubendo 14.0.32 hasn’t had a single issue on either my Studio M3 Ultra or my MBP M3 Max.

Halion 7 and Groove agent 5 have lost a bunch of sounds. My stereo panning has quit working properly. It was all perfect until I installed 26.

Installed Tahoe cubase does not start anymore…. tried to reinstall, dismissed all plugins preferences… when I open new or open whaterver project I get only mac rainbow wheel.. next time im expecting from Steinberg to send me an email…wait with upgrade… my studio is out of bussines for next week or two to solve this…

Steinberg technically shouldn’t need to warn people not to update. The product you bought doesn’t claim ANY compatibility with a future unreleased OS. It’s a given, especially in a professional situation, NOT to install it until Steinberg tells you it’s ok. Anything you do beyond that is all your decision and it’s not Steinberg you should be mad at. They post this every single time a new MacOS comes out on the support pages referenced above.

No one forces anyone to update their OS, that decision is solely made by the end user and it’s not Steinberg’s fault.

I suggest that next time you not rush to update your operating system until you’ve verified compatibility with the suite of vendors supporting your overall audio solution.

If you’re getting the beachball without any 3rd party plug-ins, then it’s likely your audio driver, so I’d look there first.

Regarding your expectations for “next time,” you’re welcome to expect that, but the reality is that you’re responsible for your own rig. Steinberg, like most vendors, publishes compatibility status when new OSs are released, and it’s up to you to look for that, and perform your own due diligence. Not trying to sound insensitive to your situation, but rather to provide some solid guidance going forward.

I hope you get it back up and running.
