Cubase and Zoom

I would like some help figuring out how to collaborate online while viewing Cubase.
Is there a way to have the following?
• Video conferencing with another individual using Zoom.
• Having Cubase open on my computer for screen sharing.
• Having the sound from Cubase transmitted through Zoom.
So far I have not been able to make this happen. This is the case whether or not I have the checkbox selected in Studio that gives exclusive control of the ASIO driver to Cubase. I have also tried changing the computer sound settings.

Specs:
• Cubase 11 Elements
• Windows 10

Hi and welcome to the forum,

What about to use VST Connect instead?

Thank you but, as I understand it, VST Connect is only for Cubase Pro and is intended for recording. I am not trying to collaborate on music input. I simply want to be able to share my screen with another and discuss issues of mixing and mastering.

You can do that with with VST Connect. Possibly even the SE version that’s included with Cubase Pro.

Or, You need something that will create faux audio and video drivers that would allow Zoom to connect to your audio and video. Something like OBS would do it. Maybe this video will explain, I didn’t watch it, but surely Chris Selim will show how to set up OBS and connecti it to Cubase. OBS provides the kind of “driver” needed. Thank you for your suggestion. I downloaded OBS and found it opaque and hopelessly complicated. VoiceMeeter Banana, which Chris Selim recommends, I have tried using before and would rather avoid. Selim’s video is about recording streamed programs. I believe that is what OBS is designed for. None of this was looking as though it would solve my problem.

However, I have received advice from someone else who recommended a product (there is a modest price and one-week trial) called ListenTo. This is a plug-in made by AudioMovers. They say it works with any DAW. I’ve experimented with connecting Cubase through Zoom and it looks as though it’s going to work.

Yes, haven’t used that, but did read that setup is straightforward,

I have done what you say you want to do in the first post, using Voicemeeter. The reason it works for me is my MOTU 16A driver allows for different software to access its I/O simultaneously. So I can create a separate path within the MOTU interface software that takes an individual Nuendo output and basically sends that back (within the interface) to the computer and Voicemeeter can use that as its input. I can then route that out to Zoom so clients hear my Nuendo output, I can take the Zoom input (from clients) and route that to my speaker output simultaneously with Nuendo’s main output.

So Voicemeeter can work depending on the interface driver.

Does that help?
