Before I buy a MX49 bk I like to know if the play /stop button is working as transport button.
Now I use a synth station 49 from akai and cant use any button for controlling the transport.
Ik read in the manual that only the pro version is able to setup midi controlling

The Generic Remote Device is not marked as “Pro only” in the Operation Manual. So I expect it is also part of Cubase Artist. This means, you should be able to assign any MIDI message to any command in Cubase. So even your Synth Station should work already.
