Even with last one (quite new) update of UR driver?

Btw: I have no problem with my MR816CSX on Mac OS X.

this is a well documented windows issue as Play has a memory overflow problem that impacts with the Cubase UR or MR extensions.

These are Steinberg’s sound cards (audio interfaces).

Check this UR series sound cards, and this MR sound cards.
