It’s only happened once? The crash might be unrelated to your copy-paste actions. Something else running on your system could have caused it. Can you reproduce the issue?
Why are you doing it that way? Your workflow shouldn’t cause crashes, but it sounds like you could be doing things more efficiently. Maybe you should try using “Track Versions,” or duplicate the MIDI track instead of putting multiple edits on the same track, at different positions on the timeline.
Update your Cubase version to 14.0.41.
Also, it’s helpful to mention what OS you’re running, your system configuration (audio interface, RAM, CPU, GPU, etc), what VSTs you’re using, and what other applications you may have running while using Cubase.
The dump reports an invalid pointer in Cubase. However, the dump also says you’re running Windows 10 21H2, which is a version not supported by Cubase. 22H2 is the minimum.
I suggest you update Windows 10 to the latest version and, as @XLColdJ said, update Cubase 14 to 14.0.41. When you’ve done both those things, try again.
