Cubase crashes on updating to 9.5.4 from 9.5

Hello,

I updated to Cubase 9.5.4 from 9.5 and it keeps crashing even before the start screen appears. I’ve tried multiple options but no luck. Kindly help me in this case. Thanks.

First of all, make sure you have the latest Cubase 9.5.41 installed.

If it’s still crashing, please attach the *dmp file from Documents/Steinberg/crash dumps folder.

I have been having the same, if not a very similar issue:

I am running Cubase Artist 9.5 on Windows 8, i5 processor (desktop) and 8Gb RAM with Focusrite Saffire 40 interface.

I have been able to run up to 9.5.2

Graphics crashes randomly on the older versions. Cubase will continue to run for a time, but graphics freeze. I am able to stop activity and save project, but need to close Cubase and restart to continue working.

I have tried upgrading to 9.5.3 and 9.5.4. but Cubase will not open at all.

I would like to upgrade to Cubase Artist 10, but I fear it may not open either.

I have just today purchased a new graphics card, and, if that does not make a difference, next step will be to increase RAM, but have so far been unable to solve problem.

Any advice greatly appreciated.
