Cubase Crashes when quitting everytime after updating to 13.0.40

HELP! Since updating to 13.0.40, every single project I open and try to quit, cubase crashes immediately. I trashed my preferences and that didn’t work. Removed all third party plugins and that did not work either. Where can I find the re-install for 13.0.30?? PLEASE HELP

There are other reports like this on the forum already. I will check the *.ips files, if the crash is in the very same area.

Hi. Was at it all night trying to figure out what the problem is. It seems like it has something to do with the mixer. I closed the mixer out from being opened in the project. And when I quit, it closed properly. So I can’t quit project with the project mixer opened

Here’s a 13.0.40 crash report, not related to quitting. Just crashed while using Ozone. 13.0.30 wasn’t crashing, despite the vast amount of bugs. Thanks.

Hi,

Some of the crashes are provoked just by closing MixConsole. The same crash stack appears.

Hi. What does that mean? This only happens in 13.0.40. I also tried reverting to 13.0.30, but every time I install, it still says 13.0.40 when opening. I even trashed all my preferences, and the crashes still persist.

Hi. Is there any update as to what I can do? I can’t work until this situation is fixed. 100% of my projects crash upon closing my mixer or quitting the program!

Hi,

The last update was on Friday. Steinberg guys are not working on weekends, so there is no update since then.

I can reproduce it with a specific project. Still searching for the core of the crash with hope, there will be a workaround.

Om thank you. Also need to know about reverting back to 10.0.30. I have the dmg file but everytime I install it, and open Cubase, it still registers as 13.0.40. Any guide on how to successfully revert?

Hi,

Remove Cubase 13 from the Applications folder first. The system doesn’t allow to install and older version (13.0.30) over the newer one (13.0.40).
