I mark 2 or more audio tracks and press the scissors tool . Then Cubase crashes. Started appaering after I got my new laptop. Thinkpad L460. 8G RAM, 2,3 Mhz.
I have no crash dumps from these crashes. Cubase just closes instantly.

Could you try in Cubase Safe Start Mode [Disable preferences], please?
If it’s still crashing, could you share the DMP file, please?

It’s crashing in the graphic area. What graphic card do you use, please? Do you have the latest driver installed, please?
Updated to 10.5.30 and get the error again.

This is very prominent function. If there would be something general, there would be much more reports here on the forum. Therefore I’m afraid, this is system specific.
Could you try to uninstall and reinstall Cubase, please?
I would recommend to double-check all drivers are up to date, please.
I have tried to update all drivers but windows says they are all the best and latest.
I have reinstalled Cubase 10.5.30
I have tried in normal mode and safe mode but the app still crashes.
Difference now is I’m not getting an error message or crash dump.
Is it possible do downgrade to previous version like 10.4 to see if that helps?

You can uninstall Cubase 10.5 and install 10.5.40, if you have backup of the installer.
