Cubase crashing when hitting record button via midi

I have been working on a custom Lemur template for my Ipad, and everything is working fine. I have a transport container where I can control the most used buttons on the Transport, like start, stop, metronome, and the cycles. However, I cannot get the record button to work. My Record button is a pad, with Target Midi 0, sending a CC message of 57. Cubase crashes all the time whenever I hit the record button. I can click on the record button via my mouse, but I am unable to control the record in Lemur due to the crashing.

I would upload some sort of crash log, but I am unsure of where to find it. I have an Intel I7 6700 CPU with 16GB of ram. Cubase is stored in an SSD, but I am storing the project files in an external hard drive.

Thanks!

edit: Does the record button have to be a switch? I would like to use a pad, if possible.

Hi,

Yes, you can use a Pad.

Isn’t there a MIDI loopback by accident?

Could you attach the *.crash/dmp file, please?
