Hello, I am new to Cubase and recording. I have a Roland Gokeys 5, which is connected to my UA Volt 476 via jack cables, and the Interface is then connected to my PC via USB. My headphones are connected to the interface, and I can hear the Roland when I play keys. I use unbalanced jack cables.
But there seems to come no input into Cubase. I have checked that UA Volt is chosen as the ASIO driver, and I see that Audio Connections also the Volt and that the lines are active.
I have created an instrument track, and I was expecting to see a “bar” with the input when I play keys on the Roland. But I see nothing.
I have searched a lot and seen varios videos, but I am stuck. Any help on pointing me in some direction is highly appreciated:-)
Kind regards
Hi and welcome to the forum,
Are you on Mac or Windows? This will be a permission issue.
If you want to record the sound coming from the Roland, you need to create an Audio track, not Instrument.
Just tried to create an audio track instead. But I still dont see any input in Cubase when I play keys on the Roland. It looks like this.
Hi,
How did you set up the Stereo Input? Do you use Stereo Input as the input of the Audio Track?
Could you attach a screenshot of the Studio > Audio Connections > Inputs, please?
Hi,
Is the Roland connected to Input 1 and 2? Is the Audio Track using the Stereo In input?
Just created a new audio track with stero input Line 3/4, and I get the input now:) Think Im ready to go.
Thanks for input and help. This forum is awesome
