I was wondering if it is possible to use the drum machine to output midi?

My reasoning is that I have multiple external drum machines and it would be good to use the Cubase drum machine/pattern editor to draw in the notes and output then externally.

I know there are other ways of doing this in Cubase, but the drum machine/editor would be a great place for this magic to happen.

So far I have not managed to see anywhere that seems this is possible. It really does seem like an oversight if this is the case.

Use pattern mode on a midi track. You can change the key notes as you please.

Many people think that the Pattern Editor is attached to Drum Machine. While it works very nicely with it the Pattern Editor can be used totally independent of DM.

I e just found that out. This makes things really interesting now, shame there is no way to convert midi parts to pattern events, though not a big issue, it would be nice to record into Cubase from an external drum machine and then drop that onto the pattern.

Not a big deal though.
