Cubase Elements 10.0.20 crashes on importing midifile

Cubase Elements 10.0.20 always crashes on importing a new midifile the first time when saving the project.
Repeating the same action again does not crash Cubase.

What I did:
-Open Cubase
-Create empty project
-Import midi file (see attach)
-Save project → Cubase crashes

Next time I do the same and it works.
Same behavior for every new midi file.
Same in Cubase 10.0.10

Hi,

When you import the MIDI File (via menu?) you get a message if you want to create a new project. What do you select here?

What is your Preferences > MIDI > MIDI File > Import Options settings?

Could you try in Cubase Safe Start Mode?

Could you attach a crash/dump file, please?

Attached MIDI file is imported here on my side.

I have not changed the settings of midi import, just clean install of trial version Elements 10.0.20.
Whatever I select (create new project or merge into project) makes no difference.
Strange thing is, when I do the same import again after the crash, it always works correctly.
