Cubase Elements 10.5.20 for Mac crashes suddenly when Silencing Audio

My Cubase is suddenly crashing every time I select a region of Audio in a track and use Audio:Processes:Silence to eliminate certain passages. This had been something that I did hundreds of times without problem and I don’t think anything has changed on my Macbook. I do have a crash log file, but can’t seem to upload it here because it doesn’t have a valid extension.

Any thoughts, please?

Could you attach the *.crash file, please?

Mac: macOS Console utility > User Reports folder or Crash Reports in macOS 10.15 (or ~user/Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports).
