Cubase gives error when exporting.

Hi there, I recently bought Cubase 6 Elements, and when I tried to export a project yesterday, it immediately gave the “Serious problem has occurred” message which I’ve seen on this forum quite a few times.
It does that with every project I try to export. Then when I close the project in Cubase it again gives me this error.
Oh and I have put my cubase on "run as admin’ mode like I saw somewhere on this forum, and I updated to 6.0.4 today, hoping the error would go away, but alas.
Please can you help me?

Information about your setup, such as computer type, interface, OS, plug-ins being used, etc., would be much more helpful.

I have a laptop, HP Pavillion DV7, Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz, 4 Gig ram of which one gig is dedicated to my video card. Running Windows 7.
Plugins used: Albino, Vanguard, Gliss EQ, C3Multiband Compressor, Catdelay, Poizone, and that’s about it I think.
Using onboard soundcard till now, just bought an external one today but haven’t hooked it up yet.

Did you try both realtime & offline export?

Are you exporting to wav?

Did you try freezing the instruments?

I haven’t tried freezing (you mean shutting down vst’s one by one I suppose?), and for the rest: it just gives the error when I click on export audio mixdown, I don’t even get the export options screen.
Edit: Oh I found the freezing thing, but in fact it doesn’t make a difference, and I get it with new projects as well, with only wav samples loaded :s

If you’re not even getting to the export screen then something is seriously wrong.

Try trashing prefs in the first instance & also see how you go once you install the new interface as it could be an issue with your audio drivers on the built in soundcard.

Yeah I tried the new interface, still the same problem. Should I completely reinstall? Although I’m afraid that won’t change anything either, since I did the update a few days ago…

I did a complete uninstall and reinstall of both Cubase and the elicenser, but still the same problem :frowning:
Still no one who knows what this might be??? I run it as administrator, have windows 7 32 bit, tried all asiodrivers I have, internal soundcard, external audio interface, nothing helps, always the same problem, it crashes when I try to get the export menu, doesn’t show me the menu but just crashes. Please, somebody? Or am I the only cubase user in the world who has this problem?
