Cubase iC Pro on POCO X7 Pro / HyperOS — does it stay connected in the background?

Hello everyone,

I’m considering purchasing Cubase iC Pro to control Cubase 15 on Windows 11, but I’d like to confirm something before buying it.

My phone is a POCO X7 Pro running HyperOS. I’ve been testing Avid Control, but it disconnects from EuControl almost immediately whenever I switch to another app or turn off the screen. I’ve already tried unrestricted battery usage, background autostart, app locking in Recent Apps, and the relevant background activity settings, without success.

My questions are:

  1. Does Cubase iC Pro remain connected to Cubase when I switch to another Android app?

  2. Does it remain connected when the phone screen is turned off?

  3. Has anyone tested it specifically on a POCO X7 Pro or another Xiaomi/POCO phone running HyperOS?

I mainly need reliable remote control of Cubase’s transport, recording, playback, stop, and markers.

I’d particularly appreciate feedback from someone who has tested this in practice, or from a developer who can clarify how the app behaves in the background.

Thank you!
