Cubase IC Pro Transport Panel: Locators? Split Screen Tabs?

Hi

I have bought Cubase IC Pro Android today. The “Transport Panel” section of the Help documentation says that the transport panel should allow to jump to the locators positions:

But I have no locators buttons in the transport panel, and I really miss them when I am on the mix console view. Is it a known bug? Or I have to activate them? Where?

The “Transport Panel” section of the Help documentation also says that the transport panel opens the different split screens. I don’t find this feature, and furthermore, I don’t know what the split screens are. I would appreciate some indication/explanation.

Thanks a lot!

Hi @jordikt

Thanks for your message.

Please let us know if you use a smartphone or tablet device with Cubase iC Pro, alongside with the OS information.

In addition, you may check the unbiased review below, where Maarten from Lakewood Studios briefly demonstrates the workflow and available features of the app.

Thanks
Lars

Hi Lars, thanks for your reply.

I am using an smartphone: Pixel 7a, Android 15

Hi @jordikt

Thanks for your reply.

So the appearance of Cubase iC Pro on your smartphone and the available should be pretty similar to what’s shown in Maarten’s review.

Below please find two screenshot examples which show the differences between the iPhone/smartphone and iPad/tablet versions of Cubase iC Pro.

To me it looks like your smartphone shows the help section of the tablet/iPad Cubase iC Pro version (which might be related to the screen size/resolution of the device).

Best,
Lars

Ok, so I understand that the split screen is only available for bigger screens than smartphone screens, so this feature is only available for ipads/tablets. It makes sense.

Regarding the question of L and R buttons in the transport panel of the mixconsole view in iphones/smartphones, the screenshot you posted has the transport panel closed, so I don’t know if L and R buttons are available or not.

This is my mixconsole view, with the transport panel. There is no L and R buttons:

Do you know if this is the correct transport panel by design, or maybe there is a bug in the android version?

Thanks!

Hi @jordikt

Thanks for your message.

Your screenshot shows the smartphone UI, which is correct. The L/R buttons are only available in the main view (as shown in my screenshot example above). An option would be to work with markers.

Best,
Lars

Thanks Lars.

Do you know if adding L/R buttons is a feature request already done? If not, I will make a new post asking for it.

Hi @jordikt

This is not yet planned unfortunately.

Best,
Lars
