Hi,
I’ve received an email from Steinberg with an activation code for Cubase LE 10.5 (I have an old Cubase LE license).
I have Cubase AI6 installed in my laptop and I’ve also installed Cubase LE 10.5 but when I try to activate LE 10.5 with the given code the e-licenser gives an error “there’s no license to update”! It recognizes the new license as AI 9.5 (I’ve bought the upgrade from AI 6 sometime ago but never installed it)…so I can’t open LE 10.5.
I believe is a mismatch problem with different versions. Do I have to install my cubase LE old version (LE4)?

You don’t have to install any Cubase to be able to activate it.
Do I understand you right, you haven’t got Cubase LE (older version, probably LE4) never ever? I would expect, you should have Cubase LE (probably 4) code, which you should activate first. Then you can activate Cubase LE 10.5 update license.
With Cubase LE license you can’t start Cubase AI, so you can uninstall your Cubase AI 6.

It worked. I’ve activated my old cubase LE 4 licence and now I can use cubase LE 10.5.
