When I try to open a project (which worked fine a couple days ago) it “reads the project file”, “connects media”, then asks if I want to activate the project. This is abnormal when first opening the program.
If I say “No” the program closes.
If I say “Activate” it starts to load the Mix Console, then the program crashes.
I think I need to reinstall Cubase LE 13.
How do I get a new copy?
I found the problem. In Windows > Settings > Personalization, you can choose various background images for your monitor. If you choose a dark theme, Cubase won’t start. When I reverted to the light-colored background image, Cubase behaved normally.
That is very strange!
