Cubase license number

Hi, please, I need someone to tell me how to get the license number for my Cubase 14 Pro so I can install it on a computer. I don’t know where I have it.

Thank you

Do you mean the Download Access Code?

If you don’t know where you have it, how is anyone reading this supposed to know where you have it?

Have you ever used the Download Access Code? It’s a one time use type of thing. After that, things are handled by the Steinberg Activation Manager app.

Also, you can install it without a “license number”.

Cubase hasn’t used license numbers since 5.x/VST32. And even that was ultimately rolled into USB licensing after it was rebranded Cubase SX. Never understood why we needed them even then, considering we had to plug in a big parallel port dongle to even use it. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hi,
just find the right credentials (email adress & PW) and log into your MySteinberg account. That’s about it.

There’s no need of it: after any purchase since the 12 version the licenses are stored in “My Steinberg”

  1. Check on My Steinberg /products and licensed devices, you can install it up to 3 devices. If you find the Cubase version you need among products proceed to the next step.

  2. Open the SDA find the version in the left pane click on it, then in the right pane will appear what you can install within that version - just install.

  3. Activate with the Steinberg Activation Manager.

Unless it was never used. Until now, we have no idea if the OP ever actually used the DAC received with the initial purchase. Time will tell, I suppose.

Right after purchase the DAC is provided. The same code is sent to the buyer’s email address.

In the worst case of losing DAC and mail receipt, I believe he can claim e DAC providing the transaction receipt stored in his bank account.

  1. Contact the Store Partner: Steinberg’s online shop is processed by an external merchant partner, usually FastSpring (or previously asknet). Reach out directly to FastSpring Support. They can look up your entire order history using your name, approximate date of purchase, and the credit card or PayPal account you used. They can then resend your receipt and DAC.
  2. Submit a Steinberg Support Ticket: Log into your MySteinberg Portal and open a support ticket. Provide them with a bank/credit card statement showing the charge from Steinberg/FastSpring."
