Hello good people!
A friend is having trouble exporting MIDI from Cubase sessions. For example, a 12 track session lasting 3 minutes is taking 10 minutes to export MIDI file, on a Mac Pro 2019 Big Sur 11.6 Cubase 11.0.41.
Usual export settings (tracks solo’d and export with locators checked), and in previous rig with Yosemite wasn’t happening, still Cubase 11.
Any leads would be much appreciated, thanks!

Yes, haha, this is a friend who happens to be a busy and great composer 
For the record, here is the solution:
She had “export inserts” checked. After unchecking it was lightning fast.
Only check: “Export Markers” & “Export Locator Range” and you’ll be fine.
