Cubase not recognizing XLR mic

Hi, I am super new to Cubase (and DAWs in general). I’m trying to record audio through my mic. It is a Rode Nt1 5th Gen XLR with the accompaning A1 interface. The mic is on. Reaper recognizes it just fine, but I can’t figure out how to get it to work in Cubase. I’ve Googled and looked at a few answers but most of them are talking about going to “Device Setup” and I can’t find such an option in my version (even when searching the term in the help box it just takes me to the “Midi device setup” option). I’ve looked through all the menu options I can think of, and none of them show my mic.

Specs:

OS: Mac
Software: Cubase Elements 14
Mic: Rode Nt1 5th Gen XLR with A1 interface

Thanks in advance!

The audio device setup is in Studio/Studio Setup, then in the Audio System tab within that. You’ll want to pick the correct ASIO driver for your mic’s (or other) audio interface. If it doesn’t have an ASIO driver, I think you’d need to use something like ASIO4all or the Steinberg’s Generic ASIO driver. (At least that’s how it would work on Windows – I’m not a Mac guy.)

Mac needs core audio compliant devices, what the A1 is.

For most DAW on Windows, it is recommended to use the ASIO driver.
