Audio Connections are typically associated with hardware installed at specific locations. I switch every day between my main studio and my home studio, and I also occasionally work in other studios.
New Feature:
Locations
It should be possible to create, save, and recall an unlimited number of Locations, each containing the complete Audio Connections configuration, including:
- Inputs
- Outputs
- Group/Effect
- External Effects
- External Instruments
- Control Room
Locations could be created and managed from Audio Connections > Create Location.
I suggest changing the current workflow as follows (see enclosed picture):
- Rename the current menu item from “Open ‘Audio Connections’…” to “Open Locations”.
- User selects the desired Location (that was previously created in Audio Connections).
- The original Audio Connections window would then be accessible from this menu.
