I’ve got a full hybrid setup, a mix of out the box and in the box studio. My set up will keep me going for at least 10 years I would have thought.
Anyhow’s, going forward I imagine that when I next decide to upgrade the vr/ar world will be fully upon us.
And I’m thinking that quite likely one will be able to get Cubase on a device such as the Vision Pro! Plus Vsts etc. possibly no need for any other hardware or touchy feely stuff such as keyboards as you can just virtually do all this!
Cubase devs. Do you happen to be working on bringing Cubase to Apple Vision Pro as we speak?
They wouldn’t need to. As I understand it, the VisionPro will act as an external monitor for your Mac. An external monitor you can expand to fill the space as needed, of course!
I love the idea of a large “transparent” monitor (what other component is more obtrusive in the music studio than a computer monitor sitting in the stereo field, right?), but in reality, I foresee the initial iteration of Vision Pro will probably be too heavy for users to wear for long periods of use, such as an 6-8 hour mix session. (We’ll see soon enough!) I also have to wonder how the unit will or will not obstruct natural hearing (that is; turning off the built-in ear piece to hear our studio monitors).
Well, yeah sure, good point. But that involves needing a Mac. And being at a specific place…
I just mean stand alone, just on the Vision Pro and wearing good quality headphones!
Just start making a tune in the middle of a park and on lookers can think your doing Tai chi !
Wonder if cubasis runs on the Vision Pro without any tweaking to the app needed, the Vision Pro website says “compatible iPhone and iPad apps” will be on its store…
