Cubase Pro 10 with VST Instruments.

sorry this might be a stupid question but I´m about to surrender.

I create a new Intrument track (like Native Instrument). Then I want to record this instrument…

Do I need to have a MIDI keyboard to get it recorded??? When I use the vst internal keyboard it doesn´t write any midi information into the vst track while recording…

In Cubase 9.5 I didn´t have this problem?!?!?

Although I use a “regular” keyboard through USB to record midi, I will occasionally enter notes using the key editor. I have no issues.

The internal keyboard on a vsti does not output midi to record and never has.
Draw midi notes in or use the virtual Cubase keyboard.
