Cubase Pro 12 constantly crashing

Have you tried scannow and uninstalled the graphics drivers via :
How to Totally Uninstall Nvidia, AMD or Intel Graphics Drivers | Tom’s Hardware (tomshardware.com)
And updated your drivers ?

Im fully updated. I used that DDU to fully unistall NVIDIA and it did indeed fully remove it…well so i thought. My screen ratio changed and everything went HUGE and realy zoomed in and then a few moments later NVIDIA popped its head up again my screen ratio went back to normal and it started asking me to launch NVIDIA and download stuff hahaha Im Cursed!! Haha.
I dunno maybe im pushing my PC too hard with VST instruments and its just crashing.
It is indeed frustrating mind.

Cubase 12.0.60.453 64bit 2023.6.10 16.59.01.128.dmp (1.5 MB)

Hi,

One crash is in Zebra plug-in. The rest is in Cubase. Reported to Steinberg. Thank you.

What Audio Device do you use, please?

Could you try in the Cubase Safe Start Mode [Disable preferences], please?

Ya know i had a suspicion about Zebra. I removed a few instances of it from a project and it did improve.Strange.
My audio interface is a Focusrite Clarett 4pre USB.
Im at work at the moment but yeah i could try out safe mode when i get home.

Hi Martin.

So ive just tried the Cubase Safe Start Mode this morning and disabled preferences but in doing so Cubase lost connection to my audio interface and when i attempted to connect my interface back into Cubase whilst still in Safe Start Mode it froze again and i had to force start it.
I dont seem to have a DMP file for this situation

Hi Martin,
Here are some crash dump files. Could you please help me to identify the culprit/s?

Cubase 12.0.60.453 64bit 2023.6.8 8.59.33.356.dmp (1.7 MB)
Cubase 12.0.60.453 64bit 2023.6.10 13.27.34.840.dmp (2.0 MB)
Cubase 12.0.60.453 64bit 2023.6.10 14.21.32.941.dmp (1.9 MB)
Cubase 12.0.60.453 64bit 2023.6.12 12.24.25.122.dmp (2.0 MB)
Cubase 12.0.60.453 64bit 2023.6.13 14.51.54.904.dmp (3.7 MB)

Hi,

In the DMP files, I saw an issue which might point to something similar.

Could you try to reinstall the Audio Device driver, please? Make sure, you install it as administrator, to make sure it gets all necessary permissions.

Hi,

Do you have any hint, when the crashes happen at your system?

Hi,

All the crashes come from the ImpactLX61 component. Please, get in contact with Nektar.

Okay, thanks a lot.

It just crashed again. I had to perform another force close… its getting crazy now. Ive never had this problem with previous versions and its not like i can just go back to an older version because ive already payed for this updated version so i would lose out on cash.
I dont even get current Dmp files anymore either.
Tragic.

Hi,

I’m sorry, workout the report we cannot tell where was it. Do you know your last steps, please?

The last thing i did was change the input port on my interface via the “Audio connections” menu in Cubase and it just froze. Around 60 seconds later of nothing happening i had a pop up saying Cubase lost connection to my audio interface and asked if i wanted to reconnect to it by choosing the interface and clicking the ok button .
Since my audio interface was already highlighted in the menu options i clicked “ok” where the freeze screen happened and i had to force an End task.

Hi,

What do you mean by the freeze screen, please?

when i clicked “ok” on the option to reconnect my audio interface to Cubase the DAW just froze.
When i control alt deleted and highlighted Cubase it stated it was not responding so i had to force it to close down.

Hi,

If I’m not mistaken, you can right-click to Cubase in the Task Manager and select the create DMP (or something similar) there.

I can confirm that I’ve had that happen a few times when creating and routing new output buses using Audio Connections and, like you, there’s no automatically generated DMP file. I figured it must just be the laptop/audio interface combo I was using, because I don’t have that issue using my main production computer. For me, it happens after creating several buses in one hit - I start configuring the output port numbers and Cubase just freezes and is non-responsive - it’s still there on the screen, but won’t accept any keyboard/mouse click inputs - and requires a forced close.

I’ll look into the right-click thing to create a DMP file if it happens again - I wasn’t aware that was an option!

And again here we are with another TWO crash’s today. One crash didnt even freeze it just instantly closed. The second instant was i was using a vst (UHE Diva) i changed the source to a mono instead of legato and it just froze then instantly shut down and i lost the project.
This is happening WAY too much since upgrading from Cubase 10. Wish i had just stuck with that version at least it ran smoothly unlike this insanely unstable version.
Surely something can be done about this.
“Sorry, it looks like something has gone wrong, the file you are trying to upload is 0 bytes. Please try again.” is what i get as a pop up message when i try to add the DMP file to this message and the first crash i didnt even get a DMP file.
Tragic.
