How do I re-initialise the audio subsystem please? Yesterday I recorded a some tracks in a new project using my behringer flow 8 desk connected via usb. Recording and playback work working correctly. Today when I went back to record another it says it is not connected and I cannot get it to recognise my audio interface. My MacBook can see the device and can use it. GarageBand can see the device and use it too. I reboot my computer and restart Cubase but it still cannot see my audio device. My old Cubase Elements did not have any issues with my audio device either. I’ve only just upgraded from Elements to Pro. Any ideas please?
Thanks,
Peter

Behringer Flow 8
check the studio connections that eh Flow 8.is the active ASIO in Cubase. if yes then press F4 and check your studio connections is correct in the input and output section
Studio → Studio Setup → Audio System
Thanks, I did that to get the device working initially. The issue I am having is that now in studio setup I cannot see my device at all.
If I run elements ai 11, then my audio device is working fine. It’s just disappeared from pro 14.
Any ideas as to how to force pro 14 see my device again?
Next step I’m thinking a reinstall may be needed
Cheers
On the Mac you need to grant Cubase security access to the microphone before you can use Cubase. Maybe that is the issue?
@glennloopez thanks! I found that the Studio → Studio Setup → Audio System had reset/changed itself to “Built-in Audio”! I thought I’d checked this but obviously not. Doh!
Many thanks to all.
it changes every now and then. once you are aware no big deal and easy to switch with different cards ![]()
