Cubase Pro 14 is now regularly crashing on me. Today, alone, 3 times in 15 minutes. It may be associated with installing new plugins, but I can’t say for sure if that is always the issue.
I’ve seen several complaints about the issue but nothing about what is being done to fix it.
I’d be grateful for an update on whether this is being dealt with, please.
The Impakt61 is a midi controller by nektar which has some specific Software installed for Cubase integration, do you have the latest version of that installed?
I was updating my basic template yesterday and experienced two hard crashes when loading different VSTs for a couple tracks. One synth I don’t use much, so I thought it was that, but the other I use all the time.
Windows did some updates the day before but nothing else new…
Thank you very much for your help. I did look at the crash dump, but couldn’t see anything about the Nektar controller (I’m not experienced in reading them, tbh).
As far as I know, I was using the latest version of the Nektar software for Cubase support, v 1.1.26, which Nektar uploaded in August 2024.
But, I’ve re-installed it and I will also contact Nektar to see if they are aware of any issue.
My issue still persists. (3) crashes today.
New project from a template.
Tried to change the VST synth for one track - crash.
Then I tried to switch to ‘No VST’ - crash.
Then I deleted the track altogether - crash.
I send the crash files and the use logs via the prompt at the splash screen at startup after a crash. Here are today’s crash logs but I can’t attach the use logs… but somebody must have them. Cubase 14.0.10 64bit2025.2.15 15.31.31.283.dmp (2.1 MB) Cubase 14.0.10 64bit2025.2.15 15.34.04.345.dmp (2.0 MB) Cubase 14.0.10 64bit2025.2.15 15.36.11.878.dmp (2.1 MB)
I ran the System File Checker and it fixed some things. But my results were still the same - crash. I also ran Cubase without the preferences, but alas… crash. I decided to rebuild my template file as I have had issues with creating a new project from a template in the past. Last issue was at least 2 years ago, but that’s all I could think of at this point.
No issues. Just a bit of work.
