I recently switched from PC to Mac and installed a fresh copy of Cubase Pro 14 on my Mac Mini M4. I didn’t transfer data or apps from my old PC, but I did import my “File Manager.srf” to bring over my user settings, presets, key commands, routings, templates, etc.
Now, I’m facing some issues with saving presets:
- I can’t save presets for plugins or synths. When I try to save a preset in Cubase (e.g., for an insert or send), it doesn’t work. This happens with all plugins and VSTs.
- Additionally, none of my Acustica Audio plugins are working, and it seems related to the preset saving issue.
As a new Mac user, I looked into fixing permission issues. I deleted the preferences folder at:
/Users/username/Library/Preferences/Cubase 14
and let Cubase create a new one, but the issues persist.
I found that creating a new Mac user account solves the problem, but I have many custom presets, libraries, and routings for my hardware synths and analog gear, so I’d prefer to identify the specific file or folder causing this instead of starting fresh.
Does anyone know if there’s another location I should check?
Thanks in advance!
