Cubase pro 15.0.30, Windows 11, Visibility question

Hi All,
When I have instrument tracks for the same instruments I route them to a group track for volume automation. Clicking on the instrument track colours it black with a grey indication where the notes are (picture 1).
Clicking a value in the group track makes this disappear (picture 2) and without clicking again on the instrument track it is hard to see where the notes are. Is there a way to fix this?
