Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing a repeatable crash in Cubase Pro 15 on Windows 11 (fully updated) and I’m hoping someone can help me confirm whether this is a known issue with Groove Agent SE or something specific to my system.
I performed a full clean installation of Windows 11, installed all updates, and then installed Cubase Pro 15 fresh. Everything runs normally until I try to load certain Groove Agent presets.
The crash occurs when:
- Opening Cubase Pro 15
- Adding Groove Agent SE to an instrument track
- Browsing the drum kits
- Selecting presets from:
- Colliding World
- Future Electronica
- (possibly other kits in the same category)
As soon as I load one of these presets, Cubase immediately crashes and displays the following error:
“A serious problem has occurred in the following file:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Steinberg\Groove Agent SE.vst3\Contents\x64\win\Groove Agent SE.vst3
Cubase 15.0.20 has detected the corruption…”
It then instructs me to save the project under a new name and send the crash dump to Steinberg support.
What I’ve already tried:
- Full clean reinstall of Windows 11
- Fresh installation of Cubase Pro 15
- Reinstalling Groove Agent SE 6
- Updating all Steinberg content libraries
- Running Cubase as administrator
- Checking for missing content / library paths
Despite all this, the crash still happens only when loading certain presets.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with Groove Agent SE in Cubase 15?
Is this a known problem with the Future Electronica / Colliding World kits, or could it be a content corruption issue?
Any guidance or confirmation would be greatly appreciated. I can upload the crash dump if needed.
Thanks in advance!
