Cubase Pro Education - Need to upload proof of download each year? Possibility of upgrade?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if you purchase Cubase education, do you need to provide proof of enrollment each year? So, one year from the moment of purchase.
Secondly, if you wish to simply upgrade to the Pro but non-educational edition; can you just pay the difference in price which is around 200 euros?

Also, are you allowed to have more than 1 device with the educational version? I need it for 2.

As @steve says, there is no ongoing validation requirement after purchase. I believe that you get the same licence privileges as a retail licence - a licence for one user that you can activate simultaneously on up to three machines.

You cannot upgrade to a retail licence until a new version is released. When a new version of the product is released, your only option is to update at the full update price (there are no educational discounts on updates). When you update, you get a retail licence for the new version - so you can then use the product for commercial work and you can sell the licence if you wish.
