Cubase Pro Hub changes Stereo Outputs

I’m playing around with a trial version of 15. When the Hub opens I check that the Audio Driver and Outputs are set properly. Then when I open a template, the outputs that I picked in the Output dropdown box change. When the project opens I have to go into the Studio settings and change it back.

Example: Audio Driver: ASIO Hammerfall DSP, Outputs: AIO Analog 1 + 2. As the load screen goes through its thing the Analog Outputs change to 3 + 4. I am using an RME AIO card on Windows 11.

Hi,

The Input and Output settings are stored per project. So every project can save and load its own settings, which is independent on the previous settings.

The Control Room settings is global. So if you want to have a stable Output, use Control Room.

I had not been saving some of my new test projects so whenever I reopened a template it was reverting back to stock config. My bad.

Just to make a note, if anyone thought they could just copy and past the RAMPresets.XML and Defaults.XML from Cubendo 14 over to your fresh install of C15 Pro, I wouldn’t recommend it. The proper operation of the Hub depends upon new XML tags not present in Cubendo 14, which (in my case) manifested itself in losing the ability to select the playback channels, the “test” feature, and general wonky operational issues.

I have complex routing that I want to retain, and I’ll be able to just edit the existing XML files appropriately, but just saving folks time if thought you could get away with the old copy/paste trick
