Cubase Projects do not always open from file explorer

It seems some Cubase session open from file explorer and some do not.

These may be sessions that were not created with 8.5 but I am not quite sure yet. I believe this is happening even with 8.5 sessions.

  1. Open Cubase
  2. Find a previously opened project in File Explorer and double click.
  3. Cubase comes to the top but the session does not open.

Work around is to use the “Open” function under the file menu.

Just an update here…
I started using 8.0.3 again and the projects created in 8.5 would boot 8.5 on top of 8 when I tried to open them from the File explorer.
