Cubase projects playing slowly and crackly

Hello cubase users

I have a problem when using Cubase.

When I go into any folder of recordings I have done and listen back, the audio plays back very slow. In addition, its very crackly and distorted.

This has never happened before.

The problem occurs on all my cubase projects, whether recorded a few days ago, or a few months ago…

Would anyone have any ideas or tips of what to do?

Problem fixed!

Here’s how…

I opened up the ‘ASIO generic low latency audio driver’ on my laptop.

I noticed the input was selected as something other than the ‘Realtek output’. Thus, I selected the Realtek as the input so it was matching with the output…

Guess what?

It works!
