Cubase Q-Link Fix / Workaround

Q-Link not working on some channels (Cubase 14.0.41) – reliable workaround

Symptoms:

  • Q-Link on, multiple channels selected

  • Channels 1–14 faders move together :white_check_mark:

  • Channels 43–59 only move the touched fader :cross_mark:

Fix:

  1. Duplicate a working audio channel (where Q-Link works)

  2. Drag it next to the problematic channels

  3. Q-Link now works for that group

  4. Delete the duplicated channel

  5. Save — Q-Link continues working, even in earlier saved versions

Theoretical explanation:
This forces Cubase to rebuild the MixConsole internal state, restoring Q-Link functionality for channels that were previously “desynced.”

This reliably restores Q-Link without rebuilding tracks or resetting preferences.

Your milage may vary.

Hi,

Would you mind sharing the corrupted project, please? No data, no Audio Events, no Inserts, just the Channels. I would like to try to replicate it on my side and take a look.

Thank you!

Sorry can’t do that. Too time consuming and my mixer design is proprietary. If you’re have the Q-Link issue, try the workaround described in detail. If it does not help, then my mixing board would not help.

Hi,

I don’t, but I would like to investigate on it.
