When I try to listen a piece of a sample in Cubase 14 editor using the listening tool (icon looking like a little speaker…
), no sounds whereas everything else works…
Weird issue. Does someone meet this ? And have a solution to fix it ?

Are you using the Control Room? If so you must chose whether preview and the playback tool in the Sample Editor are output through the main section or the phones section. Preferences → VST → Control Room
I can not hear anything while I am in the lower window editor trying to hear the drum samples. The speaker is greyed out and I have control room DISabled and everything else works fine. If I drag that piece of drums to the channel, it will be audible.
Playback is fine, Media loops and samples can be auditioned.
AND the drums can be auditioned in the Drum Machine lower window.
