Cubase steals desktop space in Win 10

ever since Cubase 8 introduced the new Aero mode, in Windows 10 the entire screen is occupied by a grey background. When using the multiple desktop function in Windows, even a secondary desktop is occupied by this grey background. Its especially annoying when exporting, since the background can’t be moved during the export. It’s not terrible for me since I have 4 monitors, but for a single monitor setup this kills the ability to multitask.
