Cubase stopped connecting Firepods

Hi, Cubase 12 user here. After a year-long layoff through illness I’m trying to finish some projects but find that Cubase now reports my audio interfaces as missing. I’m running Windows 10 on an Intel Core PC with two Firepods/FP10s to a Soundtracs Topaz mixer. The Firepod driver is running & the setup worked fine previously. I was advised the problem may be caused by a Windows update so I’ve uninstalled them back to when the setup last worked but to no avail. If I use the generic ASIO driver I can get a stereo I/o but that’s no use to me. Running Cool Edit Pro2 with the FP10s is fine. Any advice gratefully received

Hi and welcome to the forum,

There was Windows 11 update recently. This introduced significant changes in MIDI area. But this update affects Windows 11 only, not Windows 10.

Anyway, it’s good to take a look, what has changed from the time, when it was working.

I would recommend you to try to reinstall the FirePod’s driver. Download the latest version and install it again (as administrator).

You mention, the interface is missing. Did you select it in the Studio > Studio Setup > Audio System as the ASIO Driver?
