Cubase strange behavior

Hi, my C13 is acting strangly, when I start a new project (empty no tracks),
the cpu overload meter will start clipping, wiggling and not stable. When Closing Cubase and restart the computer and reopen the same project the cpu overload meter goes back to normal again.
any ideas?

the same happened to me the other day when i was composing in a light project that never gave me any cpu spikes and was using less than 25% of the ram, suddenly from nowhere the cpu spikes started with no reason, i reboot the pc and then open the project again and no problems, all working as it should, i suspect maybe a background process from windows that was inspecting the folders of cubase or something like that… too bad i did not check this and recorded it.

I was having some issues until I updated my Nvidia GPU to the latest studio driver. I also have on board graphics using an AMD chip. I designated Cubase to run from the AMD Ryzen graphics instead of Nvidia in Windows 11 settings. It has immensely helped my CPU usage. I also keep my sound library and project/audio files on my D: drive SSD separate from Cubase which is on my C: drive. I removed all program files and started fresh with a clean install of Cubase 14 and all other Steinberg products I own, including Grove Agent 5, all other VST instruments and drivers. The only thing I didn’t reinstall was the activation manager and E-licensor. As of now everything is working great and performance seems to be the best it has been. If you choose to do this, make sure to get rid of some hidden filess in the user folder.

Update: I would like to thank Steinberg Technical team speacilly Tim for the assistance and helpful tips regarding Cubase unstability. it’s just my CPU power managment issue. This software is very important for all Cubase users it scans the system for any errors and gives you recommendation to solve.
