Cubase Studio 4 - How do I insert all my (more modern) VST3 and Dll instruments + Effects?

Hi
I have exhumed my old Cubase Studio 4 - it seems to work OK on Windows 10, the Virtual Lab 6 does not!
Anyway, how do I insert all my (more modern) VST3 and Dll instruments + Effects?

I tried to add them within Cubase VST folders etc.

It never picks them up when re-run software!

I have not found a clear explanation.

Can anyone help?

I suspect studio 3 doesn’t support vst 3

Is Cubase 4 a 32 bit application?
I have think it supports VST3 but not 64 bit plugins, could that be it?

Cubase 4 supports vst3 but it is 32bit so you cannot use 64bit plugins.
However Cubase 5.5 is first 64bit cubase and its not so different than Cubase 4.
Otherwise you have to try some bridging solutions which are cumbersome apart from jbridge which doesen’t support vst3 only vst2. So you have to calculate a bit.
