Can’t get sx3 to work with windows 7 on my new PC. Is there a patch required or some sort of update? Cheers, Mick
Hi Mick,Doug here.I am having the same problem,just done the same as xp is not being supported after April. I have found out that windows 7 does not load the licence details when you install the dongle and tells me that the dongle has not been approved by microsoft and unlike xp will not let you carry on and open sx3.So A workaround is this.
RESTART WINDOWS 7 AND KEEP PUSHING F8 KEY
WHEN THE PAGE OPENS SCROLL DOWN TO DISABLE DRIVER SIGNATURE ENFORCER
PRESS THE ENTER KEY ON KEYBOARD
YOU WILL THEN OPEN UP WINDOWS 7 AND BE ABLE TO USE SX3 AS NORMAL
WHEN YOU CLOSE WINDOWS AND THEN REOPEN IT IF YOU WISH TO USE SX3 YOU NEED TO CARRY OUT THIS PROCEDURE EVERY TIME.
It’s a bit of extra work but it does enable you to use sx 3. WHY DO THEY DO THIS CRAP WHEN SX3 IN XP HAS BEEN WORKING WITH NO PROBS FOR YEARS.REGS DOUG J. feel free to e-mail me on. dougjohnstone@ntlworld.comj
