Hi, I have an interesting problem. I can play VST instruments separately on my keyboard. But when I download the VST-instrument via Cubasen 13 Pro I can’t hear the sound. However, if I choose Chord Pads as the MIDI input, everything will work again. I wonder if there is a solution to this problem.
Hi and welcome to the forum,
Double-check some preferences, please:
- Preferences > MIDI > MIDI Thru Active: make sure, it’s enabled
- Preferences > MIDI > MIDI Filter: Make sure only SysEx option is enabled for both the Record and Thru.
- Studio > Studio Setup > MIDI Ports Setup: Make sure your MIDI Port is enabled in the ‘All MIDI Inputs’ column.
Hi, I still have the same problem even after checking the settings. But when I use Chord Pads as an input, I can play my VST instrumets in Cubase. There must have been a bug in the software now. Maybe there will be a fix at some point.
Hi,
Could you attach some screenshots with your routing and settings, please?
Hi,
What is the CP88 MIDI Port, please? Do you use this device as the MIDI Input device?
It`s my Yamaha CP73 keyboard
It works well and midi singnal goes to the program but sound is not comming out.
Hi,
To my knowledge, Triton Extreme is hardware synth. So how is the audio from the hardware routed to Cubase?
Hi, I tried the operation of VST instruments in Cubase 11 program. Everything works fine and sounds are heard again. I will use this program as long as there are updates to the Cubase 13 program.
I solved the problem. There was channel 1 selected in MIDI filtter page in the preferences. Now I can play VST instruments in Cubase 13 pro with my keyboard. I can also now forget Cubase 11.Is it possible to open Cubase 11 projects by Cubase 13?
Yes, it is.
