I have started a new project and try to record as usual…I can hear what I am playing but when I hit the record button, it starts recording, but it dont capture the sound at all…there is nothing there on the recorded bit. Yes, the “record enable” button is red and I have set up the connections like I have done before without problems…so I dont understand why Cubase suddenly dont capture the sound? Frustrating…It is Cubase Essential 5.

Is the meter going up and down?
Input routing on the track correct? Direct Monitoring disabled?
Input monitor activated…?
