Hi, I have had a pretty stable system using steinberg and waves plugins without any problems. Then, for no obvious (to me) reason, every time I tried to add a Groove Agent se track to a project, Cubase crashed. Eventually after a few restarts and windows 11 restarts, Cubase 12.0.70 would not even start, crashing around the point of loading/initialising plugins.
If I disable all third party plugins, it will start OK. I have reloaded all the components of Cubase using Steinberg download manager and have reloaded all my waves plugins (which never caused any problems before). Iām wondering if it has something to do with Groove Agent SE. So I downloaded Procdump and caught a dumpfile which I will post. Can anyone please help me as am in the middle of an important project.
The dumpfile is too large to upload here and the zip file of it is too big as well, so Iām sort of stuck.
NVidia has basically two types of graphics drivers, one is for gaming systems and one is the so called studio driver. Nvidia usually tries to install all the fancy games stuff, but that is also known for crashes.
In your case the crash happens in one of the driver libraries, it is ānvwgf2umx.dllā that crashes.
As @Nico5 says, you probably have the games drivers (did you get an update to that recently?) and need to replace that by the studio drivers. Search for Studio Drivers in the internet and you will find links to the Nvidia downloads.
I tried loading the latest nvidia studio driver v 528.24, but exactly the same result. Cubase 12 will not start without third party plugins disabled.
I have an idea it might have something to do with Groove Agent SE. Is there a way I can stop cubase trying to load it when starting without using the ādisable all third party pluginsā (This option disable various steinberg instruments including GA SE).
