I am facing problems using midi over bluetooth with cubasis and an external keyboard.
I connected a CME XKey Air to my iPhone 12 Pro Max using bluetooth. This always worked fine before. But some time has passed since I tried that the last time. When I play notes on the connected keyboard, it works but when playing a little faster and when playing multiple notes simultaneously, notes get skipped or keep playing after releasing a key. This happens for AUV3 Apps as well as for the build in synth micrologue.
But it works perfectly when opening one of the AUV3 Apps in stand allone mode. I can play as fast as I can and as many notes simultaneously as I want. No hanging or dropped notes. XKey Air also works perfectly in combination with my AKAI MPC Live. So, it seems like the problem is related to cubasis.
My environment is an iPhone 12 Pro Max having iOS 14.5.1.
and Cubasis 3.3 installed.
Tried the following Synth Apps: as AUV3::
iceGear Instruments Lagrange 1.2.9, iceGear Instruments Lorentz 2.5.8
And also the build in synth micrologue.
External Midi keyboard used: CME XKey Air 37
Would be great to get this fixed soon or to know what to do to get around this kind of unwanted behaviour.
Update: Iāve found someone else with the same issue. It looks to be a bug with bluetooth MIDI devices. Iām hoping itās recognised ASAP and dealt with in the coming update.
Does it mean, it might not be related to blutooth midi only? Because my workaround would have been to buy an adapter and connect a midi keyboard to my iPhone via cable. If this is not expected to be successful, I would also wait for an update.
Did anyone else test this?

The issue is planned to be resolved in the upcoming Cubasis 3.3.1 update, soon to be released.
Fade-in Fade-out:
Is it an issue that the fading-in and fading-out feature which can be seen in playlist user interface, are not well functioned in MIDI tracks.
Like MIDI notes are played 1 bar, And I would like to fade it in about 0.5 sec. ,but it gives me a non audio for the MIDI notes that are covered with fade-in feature. Sounds only be heard when new MIDI notes come in.
If that so, then thatās a bug.
New Project:
I found bug for making a ānew projectā with a Name. (It will not create new project).
I can only create a new project when I dont put a name on it.(āNew Projectā) default name.
MIDI controller Pads:
Cubasis 3 hangs when I rapidly tap my MIDI pads for making hihats drum.
There is also a problem-some key is constantly frozen and continues to play. you canāt use the program! I play on a korg air 37. The problem of skipping keystrokes has already been discussed earlier. there are always some problems. when will everything be stable!!?
Please note that Cubasis 3.3.1 is aimed to be released sometime soon, which will address several user reported issues. Please give the new update a check once it has been released, and let us know if it resolves your issues too.
Hi! Everything is fixed . Please check the item before placing it in the store. Itās already scary to update both ios and cubasis. Your product is the best, and may it be the best in the future!
Iāve installed the updated version a view days ago and played about an hour with the x-key air using bluetooth midi. It worked perfectly and I had not a single note hanging oder dropped.

Thank you very much for your feedback! Same here, weāre super glad to read that things work as expected for you again!
I had this issue with my Korg nanoKey Studio earlier this year. I subsequently found this very forum post and eagerly awaited the Cubasis update which, when it arrived, completely fixed the bluetooth āhanging/dropped notesā issue with everything fine ever since. Iāve recently purchased a Korg MicroKey Air 37 to complement the nanoKey Studio, and suddenly this exact issue is back again, for both devices!
Iāve tried restarting everything, updating to iOS 15.1, āforgettingā bluetooth devices, and various combinations of connecting, but I just canāt get bluetooth MIDI to work (except on a couple of occasions when it inexplicably worked perfectly!)
Now, just for clarification, this isnāt a Cubasis-specific problem, I get exactly the same result running synths in standalone mode, but I just wondered if anyone was aware of any bluetooth-MIDI problems that may be present in the latest iOS, or had any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? In the meantime Iāll stick to using the USB cableā¦
