Cubasis 3 - Android | How to control curve shape of fade in/out?

Hi,

I bought Cubasis 3 and I’ve came across what I suspect is a dealbreaker for me.

I’ve been using Cubase for close to 10 years now and know pretty much all the ins and outs. The main reason I chose Cubase over all other DAWs is due to the incredible control over audio samples during workflow.

Using Cubase, you can click and drag the top corner of a sample to control the fade in and fade out. So far this is exactly the same as Cubasis 3.

However, in Cubase when I double click the top corners it opens up a pop-up box where I have further control over those fade-ins. There are 7 preset curve shapes to chose from and on top of that I can click and drag/add/remove extra points to fully customize my audio sample.

This is the defining reason why I chose Cubase over all other DAWs.

For some reason, I cannot figure out how to do this in Cubasis 3 and after spending about half an hour searching I cannot find anything on Google/YouTube or elsewhere explaining how to achieve the same results.

Honestly if I cannot achieve this, then the entire DAW is useless to me.

Does anyone know how to do this please? I’ve already bought the DAW and a bunch of stuff from the shop and would be a shame to waste that money…

Thanks! 07

Hi @TheKomodo,

Thanks for your message.

Cubasis does not offer curve shapes for fade-ins/outs as of yet.

It’s also possible to create fade-ins/outs via automation, where the automation editor allows you to make detailed adjustments.

Please let me know if this helps!

Best,
Lars
