Cubasis on a square screen

Hi all,

Would Cubasis be able to run in a square screen in Android? I am considering to buy the Unihertz Titan 2 which has a 1:1 screen ratio, but being able to run Cubasis is very important factor that will define if I will buy the phone or not. I don’t have this phone yet, so I can’t check the Play Store Cubasis availability.

Thank you!

Hi @psmarios,

Thank you for your message.

Our Cubasis LE trial version is available for running such tests free of charge (except for any potential download costs charged by your provider).

In addition, you may want to check the available “Screen Mode” sets (located under Setup > User Interface) to see if this helps optimize the user interface appearance.

Best regards,
Lars

Hi Lars,

Thanks for your reply.

It is the other way around, I already own Cubasis, but I do not own the square screen phone yet, so no way to try.

If I end up buying this phone will be determined by the ability of Cubasis to run properly, because it is a tool I need.

Thanks!

Don’t know about the Android version but the iOS/iPadOS version of Cubasis can be scaled to almost any aspect ratio when using windowed mode for apps :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Thank you for the input guys!

@LSlowak could you please confirm if Cubasis will install and run on an android device with a 1:1 screen ratio?

Thanks!

Hi @psmarios,

Thanks for reaching out!

Unfortunately, we don’t have access to that specific device, nor have we tested similar models with a 1:1 screen ratio, so we can’t give a definitive recommendation.

On iOS/iPadOS, basic support is generally guaranteed across current devices. However, with Android, the huge variety of devices and OS versions makes it hard to ensure the same level of compatibility.

Beyond screen ratio, there are other important factors to consider on Android—such as audio performance, latency, and overall responsiveness - which are critical for a real-time DAW.

If possible, we’d strongly recommend giving the device a test run before making your final decision.

Best regards,
Lars

Thank you Lars!

If I end up buying the device, I will report back how it all turned out.

Many thanks to all of you guys that spent time for this!

Marios
