I haven’t had success in importing projects from cubasis 3 to cubase pro 10. The most recent project was very simple in that it consisted of audio tracks and a few groups. I had a few 3rd party auv3 effects and waves audio track channel strip on most tracks. There was only one internal cubasis eq on one track.
Result, when importing to cubase pro 10:
- audio tracks and fader levels imported fine
- none of the waves plugins transferred over
- internal eq transferred
- none of the group tracks transferred over
All of the above worked fine with cubasis 2 → cubase pro 10 when I last tried.
I hope the basic functionality of the importer will be brought back / fixed, otherwise the value of cubasis 3 over 2 is greatly limited if I want to start a project and work on it within c3 as long as possible, even do a rough mix prep before transferring over to cubase pro for the final production and mixing.
One simple but key feature I hope for is a ”pre” plugin for gain staging that would transfer over to the PRE section of cubase when importing!
